| | IP Switch Support Can you please give us a status to this problem? Why is it that 4 months have gone by and this problem still exists? Do you not use your own webmail interface? We would like an honest answer as to what you are trying to do to resolve this problem. Please advise. Thank you. Steve |

IP Switch Support Can you please give us a status to this problem? Steve Hi Steve, Do you have received a reply from Ipswitch? I tried this morning to install v10.02 and I can say that the new release don't solve the logout problem. An other new issue with the new release: A lot of old HTML emails are not correctly readable with webmail... 4 months to wait a missing solution for the logout problem and now... 4 months to wait a missing solution in the new release for unreadable old emails? If someone know a good email product with a good migration tool.... I'm interested Manu |

| clord (11/26/2008) That is true, but I think it would be better to figure out the cause of the crashes.
Absolutely. However it still would be advantageous to store the sessions outside of the worker process, if for no other reason than to keep the users happy while the problems are figured out.
We have found that support, in the past, has know little about the different possible configurations. They seem to look at only the default setup. We run IMail on it own server with nothing else except for SQL 2005 (for the imail db) and Symantec AV. Both have been blamed for problems in the past (i.e. the flag reset bug)even though neither programhad anything to do with it. Depending on how much of a problem it is it may pay to have microsoft look at the crashes. We have had this done in the past for various things and they will work very hard to isolate the problem and tell you exactly what is causing it.
You'd think after the thousands of dollars we pay for maintenance that IPSwitch would pay MS to have a tech look at one of our servers to figure out the problem since they don't seem to know. Unfortunately, it won't be our servers since we are now locked in to v10.0 until we get hard evidence on what EXACTLY caused the problem, how to reproduce it, and full testing of any fixes.
We will NOT renew our maintenance or upgrade to V11 until V10 is fixed. They tried this crap last time with v10 when v2006 was still broken. |

| | Did you have the unknown 1305 errors with everyone getting kicked off on 10.01? |

| | With V10.01 and V10.02, I found the application unknown error in the event viewer. I think that was the same error between v10.01 and 10.02. Now with the key added in the registry it's a dream... all is right. |
