| Currently WC has done a descent job with the multi layer connections as from what I have managed to inspect so far but the Main atraction to this software was the ability to Map Network trought its discovery. I am not sure is the mapping portion there yet.

| Rafael,
Yes, WhatsConnected allows you to view the network topology map based on the layer 2 discovery. You can select the Topology Map view using the Topology Map icon in the toolbar or select View > Topology Map from the menu.

| I have selected view and topology maps but can not seem to get WC to actually auto map as it says. The discovery was done but as for auto mapping I just get a blank screen anyone else having this problem.??

| | The auto-map that should be generated will be called "Network Devices". WC will try to present a network backbone topology. This assumes that some network devices were discovered as part of the initial discovery (you can look in your device categories view for devices under the Router/Switch/Firewall/Wireless categories to ensure that there are devices in those categories). If there are no network devices discovered; this will most likely be a problem with SNMP community names and enabling SNMP on your network routers/switches. If there are devices under those categories; but the Network Devices map under the topology view was not generated; you can regenerate it by right-clicking in the view area of the "Network Devices" topology map and selecting "Add Devices...". Use the "Device Filter:" to filter the devices to "<Network Devices>". Select all the devices in the list and click "Add". This should place all of your network devices on the view and then WC will automatically connected the devices based on their Layer 2 connectivity. Hope this helps.
