I am trying to install the shareware version of WSFTP home.
I had the same message or nearly so, when trying to install WSFTP pro.
When that didn't work, I downloaded the Home version.
I can't get past the installshield with either version.

Windows XP Home
Core 2 Duo chip
2 gigs of ram
500 gig Seagate sata drive

If your NT account is an Administrator on the machine and you cannot install WS_FTP because of the -5009 runtime error

Try renaming the Runtime folder located in

C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional.

Now try to install WS_FTP.
