| Hi All,
Has anyone succeed configuring LDAP authentication with Active Directory on Windows 2003?
We filled the form on "Configure" -> "LDAP Credentials" and the test, when you push the "Test" button", said:
Test Succeeded. These settings have been saved.
Despite this, however, when we try to login using any A.D. user, it doesnt work.
Any help is welcome :-) |

| Howdy, Josmar! I have just installed WhatsUpGold Professional 2005 and wanted to do the same thing as you. In the LDAP authentication configuration screen, this is what I typed: Server: myserver.whatever.domain Port: 636 Secure: checked Authorization DN: <left blank> (this was tripping me up as I was trying to enter a Base DN) Username / Password: any username/password in your domain Finally, clicked the Test button and everything worked. Next, had to add the domain users I wanted to login and add them as LDAP, not Internal, users in WhatsUpGold Professional. That allowed me to logon as those user accounts. Hope this helps! George B. | Hi, We are having the same problem! When we leave Authorization DN blank, and click test, an error comes up saying: Please enter the Authorize DN.
THe only time we can get this to work is when we put say CN=Joe Bloggs,OU=Employees,DC=blah,DC=com and use jbloggs as user name. However if we use CN=%s and use jbloggs as username it fails. Thanks for the help P.S. using port 389 and secure is not checked, using port 636 and secure also did not work |

| | what version are you guys using? I am doing a fresh install of 12.3 and i cant leave the "authorize DN" blank - the interface yells at me. on our old system, we use the old nt 4.x domain name (dentontx\%s) and it works, but with 12.3, i cant get it to work..

| Hi ..
Try this ..
LDAP Server : (If you using domain make sure of your DNS is working properly)
LDP Port : 389 ( By right this is your port default for LDAP if AD is your LDAP Server)
Authorize DN: (This should worked as i use it in my settings, make sure the '%s' included right after your domain name) Example : mydomain\%s
TQ
Tell me if it's not working .. |

| | I did end up getting Ipswitch on the phone for this one. We did manage to get it working. For us - I used our old NT 4.x domain name for LDAP Server, and it started working.
