Do I have to get a drive mapping for every network drive that I want to upload from, or download to?

If the location where you want to either upload files from or download files to is located off of your machine, then we would need to have a UNC path setup for this.

that's what I'm doing, but for some reason it doesn't work.  I now have this set up on 2 machines and it works the same way on both.  The work around seems to be setting up mapped drives, but I don't want to have to do that for everything.

e.g:

i put in \\server\root\folder and it just goes back to the directory I was already in, I don't get an error message or anything.

My work around has been to map a drive so that m: = \\server\root.  so I would type m:\folder

I am on 2007.1-207.11.12
