| | A Recurring Action uses one of the Actions from the library and triggers it on a regular basis. The Help in WUG give an example: "This feature gives users the ability to fire actions based on a regular schedule, independent of the status of devices. Among other things, this can be used to send regular 'heartbeat' messages to a pager or cellular phone, letting the user know the system is up and running. After an action has been configured through the Action Library, use this dialog to configure the schedule for the action. The recurring action list shows the name of the action and the recurring schedule configured for that action."
HTH, but if not, ask a more specific question or tell us what you want to do... Daniel Donnelly |

I fire an action but in the action are no values.
I will hourely become a mail about the temperature in a device. A recurring report ist too big. Only the temperature value to be assign in the mail |

| | Like Daniel said, the recurring actions are not linked to any device, that's why you can't get values. That said you could write a vbscript that will retrieve that temperature (from the DB, by doing an snmp query, whatever) and send it.
Reading, writing and arithmetic - If you need to choose, please take option 1. |
