| | One of our users recently synchronized his iMail Inbox with his Outlook. He did this many times but before. But now, when he is trying to access his inbox via the web client he gets the following error message. All other folders in his account and all other folders for other users have no problem and can be accessed via web interface. He can access his inbox from outlook but NOT via web interface. If you encounter this error again, please provide the following information to your network administrator to assist in trouble-shooting. Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. | One of our clients is reporting the same error. The user shows up as having 800 MB in her e-mail when she has 2 e-mails in her Inbox and 14 in her Sent folder. In the Admin panel the sent.mbx file is showing up as a whopping16 GB ! She is getting this when looking at her sent folder when logged into her e-mail:

Any resolution? |

| I guess I'm missing something.
I didn't ask how big a file should be. I simply said the sent file was 16gb. I'm well aware that it shouldn't be.
Apparently, this file became corrupt as a result of the error that I reported above.
I guess that I thought that someone could interpret the traceback in the error messages, and perhaps give me some idea what caused it.
I don't see how telling me that "16gb is way too big for Imail" helps me to resolve or avoid such problems in the future, nor does it tell me whether this is a known problem or not. |

| | Yes, you missed the fact that Imail Webmail will in no way be able to open a mailbox file that large. If the sent.mbx is that large, delete it.
