All of the sudden, with no warning, the imail interface beocmes unavailable.

The problem expressed in this article is the exact same symptom/errors we are experiencing.
http://blogs.msdn.com/david.wang/archive/2005/09/21/HOWTO-Diagnose-IIS6-failing-to-accept-connections-due-to-Connections-Refused.aspx

I've attached a screen shot of poolmon.exe

What we tried...
-Restarting IIS
-Restarting IIS Admin Service
-Killing inetinfo.exe (which automatically restarts).
Restarting the StarEngine Service (part of IMail anti-spam - largest user of memory)

All this server does is run IMail, DNS, and Symantec Endpoint Protection. (We've exclude the entire IMail folder)

Both the default site + IMail website become unavailable.  We have to restart the server to get it to come back up.  We didn't appear to be out of memory.

TIA!

I've done some more searching but couldn't come up with anything.  Has anyone ever experienced this problem?

I'm scared it's going to happen again.

Have you reviewed the IIS logs for things like hack attempts and denial of service attacks?
