Ever since we have updated to version 12 of WhatsUp Gold, I no longer receive emailed Windows Events. I have Windows Events enabled on all of our servers. I added my laptop to WhatsUp Gold, and created a new Windows Event viewer passive monitor and linked it to an action. I then created a few errors in my event log on my laptop to see if WhatsUp would catch the errors, however it did not. I tested the action and it does email me. However, I do not get autmatically emailed when there is an actual error logged in the Event Viewer. The only condition that i am looking for is errors.

Any ideas??

I am seeing a similar issue. I have the Passive Monitors set up, and after I restart WhatsUp services they will generally work and notify me, but after sitting for a period of time, they stop. I am looking at Windows Events with criteria based on Error, Source, and ID #. They work great "when" they work, but I have to restart the WUG server to get them to work again.

Anyone have any ideas?

RUnning WUG v12.0 - not patched yet.
