| I had a major system crash and restored the computer from a ghost image to a new hard drive..
Now when I try to open WS_FTPHome I get a splash screen to Buy Now or Buy Later.. Buy Later closes the program and Buy Now takes me to a purchase screen on the website.. So I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it using the file I downloaded when I originally purchased the software.. That didn't fix it so I re-downloaded the software from the link I was given way back when I purchased the software..
Again, no go.. I'm still told that my evaluation period has expired yet not given any opportunity to enter my License or Serial #..
I did try to log in to http://www.myipswitch.com/licensing/Index.aspx but was told that I don't have an account there as well..
What do I need to kill to be able to re-activate my copy??

| all I know is if you purchased your copy online then you would have had to submit an email address...this is the same email address you would use to download the full version from the download center and install it over your evaluation version...at the download center you would of course submit the info. for an account...again same email address and then a password....if you dont remember a password click i forgot password option....

| I bought the software more than 2 years ago.. All I have left is the print out with the license #, serial #, and reference # for identifying the order on it along with the link to the download.. Not sure what else I can provide to prove that I actually spent the money..
I can provide any or all of that information.. |

| | the important info you would need would be your registered email address if you do not have that then I am not sure what one would do....I guess you could try various forms of your email address of two years ago....I had to do a similar thing when I registered...I had numerous email addresses and I could not remember which one I used when I got my WS FTP... so, I tried them all .... Have you tried here http://www.ipswitch.com/support/email_service.asp

What is the serial number for your application?

| I would think that it would be a bad idea to give out the serial #, password or the email addy associated with the WS FTP software.....

There is no harm in giving out the serial number as there is additional requirements in place that will not allow unauthorized users to use it. If they require help with the application the serial number holds the key to the email address that was used. If they prefer not to give it in the forum, then there only other option is to contact Tech Support for assistance if they have a current SA.

... but I believe that if you have an email addy and serial # and password you would then be access the MyIpswitch { http://www.myipswitch.com/licensing/Index.aspx?mode=Login } information and access all that is there ?...including any personal info. and software downloads....or am I incorrect ?
