Hi all,

The problem is this:

We are trying to find the Active terminal Sessions, among other variables, in the WMI namespace on a Windows 2000 Server using WuG.

Using 3rd party tools, or a namespace query using Cscript.exe we can see the variables we want the values for, however when we connect with WuG, Active Terminal Sessions variables are not available. We have tested this on a few Win2K boxes and its consistent. When we tested on XP and 2003 we can see the data there.

Whats Up Gold seems to be doing some formatting to the objects in the namesspace (for example Win32_PerfRawData_Tcpip_NBTConnection is displayed on whats up as NBT Connections), so it seems whats up is taking the results of the WMI query and formatting them for a easier to read display. (is it dropping something off during this formatting?)

Using manual queries against WMI, we can see that things are missing in whatsup. Below is a list of WMI objects that are available on the target host. The ones in bold are the ones missing from the WuG WMI selection screen or browser. The attached screenshots show screenshots of the whole WMI pool of objects as displayed in whats up. As you can see the Objects in bold are missing from the pool. The target device is Windows 2000 Server. I can't figure this out. Using a manual query the objects are always there, but through WMI explorer in WuG, there is a lot of missing objects. Does not seem to be a problem on 2003 as far as I can tell.
