What about it do you wish to monitor? It has LDAP functionalities, so an LDAP query can be used as a test. It has DNS components as well, so the DNS check can be used too. If you have multiple sites and you want to make sure site to site replication is working then create a monitor that checks the event logs for the replication entries. So yes, AD can be monitored, but not with on generic AD monitor. It will be much easier to approach it from the component level rather than trying to monitor the whole.

Hope this helps.

David

I´d like to simulate connection of test user to AD. But I have not any idea, how to do it.

You need a tool called spotlight on active directory
It can show all acrive directory proccesses in a live mode and perform a bunch of special analysis tests for checking that all core active directory processes are functionaling properly and for determining any possible issues before they can harm your environment.
If you have any questions about this tool - feel free to ask, I've been using it for quite a long time.
