| So let's say I have a switch with several dozen interfaces that are displayed as fe0/1 on the dropdown box.
Is there a way of labeling them. That is instead of displaying fe0/1 can i display interface as 'interface to router' for example?
thanks |

| | If you label the interface in the router's configuration then WUG will use those labels. On a Cisco you would use the description command followed by the text you want to use as the label. David |

| Sorry, I didn't pay enough attention to the title. I believe the use of the interface description is something new in v12. |

| basically what I'm trying to do is get the following OID: 1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.18 (which is IF-MIB::ifAlias)
to be displayed in the drop down box. If this is not doable, where can i get confirmation that version 12
is able to label the ports and would it be free to upgrade if I have licences version 11.
thanks |

| ok so I've upgraded to version 12 and it definitely has some nice new features but how do i relabel the interfaces? Now they are not even being displayed as FE01 or GE01
but simply as numbers . eg 10001 10002 etc |

| never mind. It just took version 12 a little bit of time to pull up the information apparently. Now all the interfaces are labeled exactly how they
are in the router's description field. |
