| | HELP! I have an IMail 2006 server that i recently upgraded to version 23. ever since then my users can't get attachments that are coming from our Toshiba phone system. the phone system sends an email with a .tif attachment to the specified user everytime the user recieves a fax. the attachments worked fine in previous versions of IMail 2006 but now all they get is a message saying that it has an attachment but the attachment only shows a red X in the body of the message. if i right click on the X and find the URL of the attachment; copy and paste it into another browser window i can get the attachment but not in the IMail web interface. this happens for all users and my users aren't savvy enough to perform the stated actions. Please HELP!! thanks

| No such version as 23. It will be 9.x or 8.x or such.

| | 1) Can you send of those to me via PM to review? I would want to see the source of the message. 2) If you review a same message (that you can not see the attachment in webmail) in an email client such as Outlook, is the attachment there? 3) On the server in the Imail directory, there is a directory called web or webdir that stores attachments. Clear that directory. 4) Any error messages in the Windows Event log on the server?

| | sorry it has taken me so long to respond to this Post. i have been busy with other problems. this one just rears its head every once and a while. the behavior is only from our Strategy Voicemail system which converts faxes to tif files and converts voicemails to wav files. neither file will come through the web mail system in Imail. i just get blank boxes with X's for the attatchment. any user who downloads the message to outlook gets the message fine. we dont have all our users using outlook. i will send you the message after this post.

| This issue with the wav file attachment handling was discovered recently in IMail Server version 10. There is a patch available to fix this problem, but the dll patch will only work with V10.
