we've got an issue were we need to start shadowing one user on our server and make copies of all their inbound and outbound email. also we need to do the same for a particular outside email address that is sending messages to internal users - i know the outside email address but it's a number of different internal email addresses that sometimes change. we would like all this to take place without alerting anyone.

where do i go to do this?

There are 2 ways I know about, You can enable incoming and outgoing rules on the domains in question. Copying all mail addressed to: and from:  the from tag wont work if people spoof on you.

The second way would be to enable copy all mail. and setup a mail client with rules to move specific messages to a seperate folder for your viewing pleasure.

ok i just setup an inbound rule and it worked to capture an email coming in from an external email address but it does modify the email header as such -

X-Imail-Rule: F~someaddress@gmail.com:!COPY!project Data- someaddress@GMAIL.COM>

anyway to avoid modifying the header at all?
