| When I launch the activation utility and enter the serial number I received in email, I just get an error stating: "Error from the server".
1) Was the machine you were activating from behind a firewall, proxy server, content filter, or similar device?
If so, what type?
Yes, behind Cisco PIX firewall, EDIT: BlueCoat proxy & content filter
2) Were you able to successfully complete activation?
If not, what problem(s) did you have? Can you provide info on your environment and configuration?
Could not complete activation. I get the error above.
3) Do you have any additional comments on the Licensing and Activation process?
not at this time. I just wish it worked so I could get this server back up.
EDIT: Got it working by allowing the WhatsUp box to bypass the BlueCoat proxy. |
