| | -Upgraded from 11.0.3 to 12.0 -Launched 12.0 and clicked "Activate" -Selected "Refresh the current license" -A message returns saying that activation was successful and that the services need to restart -After answering "Yes" to restart the services, a message appears stating "Failed to stop service because of a timeout" -I manually restart the WhatsUp service and the activation process starts all over again. Please advise. **I do not have the original email that has my activation code for 12.0 preview

| | Hi Ryan, The TPP build has an older licensing engine. We may need to swap out a file. Send me a pm with your email address and we can converse that way. If you launch the application and just close the license app, does the console application launch? ~Steve p |

| You are running into what amounts to a confusing dialog box. You have upgraded 11.0.3 to V12 but it is a trial license. So therefore it pops open the status screen letting you know how many days are left etc. You are given two choices. Clicking one of them refreshes the license whereas the other closes the status screen (and lets you continue the evaluation). The button labels were confusing so we changed them to: [Purchase/unlock] and [Continue Evaluation] Since there is no such thing as a “real” V12 license yet, you just have to close the status screen (and not choose activate/unlock) until we release and you can get a real license. If we have not yet released V12 by the time the TPP evaluation is up, we can extend the time. Hope this helps, Steve |
