We have released an updated version of the IMail Windows Console Admin program. We are asking participants in the Technical Preview Program to install this prototype, try it out, and provide feedback to the development team on features, functionality, and usability.

The installation instructions are attached.

To download WAdmin Console, go to: http://preview.ipswitch.com/preview/messaging/WAdmin/WAdmin_TP03.exe

Notes:
- This program has been tested against the current IMail 10.0 TPP and IMail 2006.23. While it should function with no problems on IMail Server 2006.2 and later, it is recommended that it be used in a 2006.23 or later environment.

- Do not install the WAdmin Console in the same directory as IMail Server.

- The following is the list of current features that are not yet in the program. These features will be added over the next few months in preparation for a final release later in 2008.

- Help and About windows
- LDAP Settings
- Updated Anti-Spam settings
- Updated Anti-Virus settings
- WorkgroupShare settings
- There are several screens that will need to be brought up to date with the current versions of the Web Administration.

- There are several other features that have been suggested by our users that will be incorporated into future technical previews or into the final release.

- If you are running an external user database and using SQL Server, please download the latest odbcuser.dll to your IMail directory.
http://preview.ipswitch.com/preview/messaging/odbcuser.dll

Please send any feedback or questions you have to this Technical Preview Program forum.

Thank-you,

IMail Server Development team

GNAT,

What is it that you are trying to do when you receive this error?  Is this appearing during installation or when you try to run WAdmin for the first time?

If you are seeing this during installation, it may be because you are trying to install the WAdmin Remoting Service on a machine other than the server.  If you are installing WAdmin on a computer other than the IMail server, make sure that you turn off the WAdmin Remoting Service during installation.  You can do this by going to the "Custom Setup" screen, clicking the down-arrow next to "WAdmin Remoting Service", and selecting "This feature will not be available".

Let us know if this fixes your problem.

Hello,

I am getting the same error 1920.

I found the following in the windows application log:

"System.Security.Principal.IdentityNotMappedException") in IMailAPISvc.exe [4992]
