It would be very nice if there was support for smtp authentication, for e-mail alerts. More and more e-mail hosting companies are blocking unauthenticated due to spamming...

We are working on this now and you should see it in the next version but it will not make it in 11.0.3.

I agree, I want to start using SMTP auth here as well.  It would be nice to utilize some expanded groups through Exchange.  Plus then I don't need to worry about going through all the onslaught of spam filters we have to go through for an unauthenticated email.
